Jean-Baptiste Lenglet lives and works in Paris.
Lenglet is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice spans video art, installation, sculpture and painting. He conceives his installations as immersive environments composed of layered visual and sonic elements, inviting viewers to navigate spaces that blur the boundaries between fiction and reality. His work draws from a wide range of cultural references, from Hopi mythology to the history of electronic music, and incorporates diverse techniques including video, screen printing, virtual reality, and, more recently, ceramics.
From 2016 to 2025, he curated the online art center Virtual Dream Center, an artist-run, downloadable platform based on video game environments, which has hosted over sixty virtual exhibitions.
In 2020, he co-founded with Jessica Boubetra Lumierrante, a studio specializing in 3D-printed ceramics. His practice expanded to include this medium, which he approaches through digital processes where clay becomes a site of transformation shaped by cycles of copying, distortion, and reconfiguration. The resulting works exist at the intersection of art and design, integrating questions of functionality into a broader exploration of perception within an environment.
